Girls Circle hosting training

Cotati-based Girls Circle is hosting a two-day facilitator training July 15 and 16 in Cotati.
The event will be hosted by the Sonoma County Probation Department.
The non-profit Girls Circle was established in 1994 and is rated “a promising approach” by the U.S. Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. It provides a small group setting in which girls meet for two hours a week and work on self-image issues and interpersonal relationships. It is aimed at girls ages 9 through 18.
Attendees of the training will work on techniques to assist girls engage in positive social growth and development, according to organizers.
