More than 12 guest readers converged on classrooms and read from Seuss favorites. An assembly was held and second graders sang “Hooray for Diffendooder,” while third and fourth graders recited a poem for all.

Guest readers included local firefighters, police officers, retired teachers and the school’s principal, Mary Campbell.

Some classrooms participated in the “Paws for Reading” program in which  students read to dogs to gain confidence in reading aloud.
