Santa Rosa City Schools has scheduled two town hall meetings in response to parent concerns and questions regarding the proposal to expand the Santa Rosa Charter School for the Arts program onto the Doyle Park Elementary School campus.

The district is considering moving the charter school’s kindergarten and first grade classes onto the Doyle Park campus to accommodate a growing population. Doyle Park has struggled with declining enrollment for years.

Public meetings have been scheduled for 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 2 at Santa Rosa Charter School for the Arts, 756 Humboldt Ave. in Santa Rosa, and from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday Feb. 16 at Doyle Park Elementary, 1350 Sonoma Ave.
