Want to know what happens when salt water comes in contact with pole beans? Or whether teenagers are motivated more by personal or group gain? How about if there are variations in the vigor of the pathogen that causes sudden oak death?
If these concepts keep you up at night, or at least get you thinking, you might want to check out the Sonoma County Science Fair on Tuesday.
Students in grades sixth through 12 from 16 schools from around the county will showcase their projects and findings in front of a panel of scientists and engineers to determine who will advance to represent Sonoma County in the San Francisco Bay Area Science Fair and California State Science Fair.
The judging will take place throughout the day and the awards ceremony is scheduled to begin at 3:15 p.m. All events take place at the Sonoma County Office of Education, 5340 Skylane Blvd. in Santa Rosa.
