School is starting soon, here is a reminder of where to find information on required pertussis booster shots:

Even with the 30-day grace period for having proof of a whooping cough vaccination to start school this fall, all seventh through 12th graders will eventually need them — and soon.

The Sonoma County Public Health Department will hold two free whooping cough vaccination clinics in August.
* 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 6

* 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 13
Santa Rosa High School, 1235 Mendocino Ave., Santa Rosa
