Remember the story of Amy Weitzenberg Baghdadi and Olivia Roberts Lemen – the two Santa Rosa High School grads who made news when Lemen donated a portion of her liver to save Baghdadi’s life in February?

The pair of Panthers will be together again this Saturday for the Donate Life California 2011 Walk. Baghdadi and Lemen will be joined by friends and family as well as other Californians who have been touched by organ donation.

The walk begins at 9:30 a.m. on the shores of Lake Elizabeth in Fremont.

More than 10,000 people are waiting for some kind of tissue donations in Northern California, according to Donate Life California.
