Piner High’s Leonard Carter is Santa Rosa City Schools’ high school student of the month for November.
Set to become team captain of the Prospector’s wrestling team, Carter is also a member of the football team and track and field squad. In addition, he is an active member of Piner’s ASB leadership program – a class he says is his favorite.
One of Carter’s teachers says the senior is “the epitome of what a successful student is…(because) he gives 100 percent effort in whatever he does.”
Leonard plans to attend Santa Rosa Junior College after graduation and wants a career in working with children.
