Brian Silva is Santa Rosa City Schools elementary school student of the month for December.
Silva, a sixth grader at Lincoln Elementary, was lauded Wednesday night for his work ethic, positive attitude and empathy for his fellow students.
His current teacher, Ms. Wegner, wrote of him: “Brian always does his personal best on assignments. He perseveres to understand new concepts. When I ask him to do something, I know that it will be done and done the way that I ask that it be done.”
More than one teacher told officials that Silva is “one of those students that make me smile” and that they would like to have a “whole room full of students like Brian.”
Silva, who excels in math, hopes to build houses as a career.
