Officials from Cotati-Rohnert Park School District are hosting a forum Feb. 28 for community members interested in the potential re-opening of La Fiesta Elementary School.
District officials are pursuing a plan to potential re-open the campus on Liman Way in Rohnert Park.
The school, along with Gold Ridge Elementary, was closed in 2008 as Sonoma County’s third largest school district grappled with ongoing budget cuts and declining enrollment. The district has since shuttered Mountain Shadows Middle School.
District officials have embarked on a campaign to re-organize some existing campuses while pursuing plans to re-open La Fiesta in the fall.
The meeting is scheduled from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the school, 8511 Liman Way.
