Windsor High School has been awarded the Sonoma State University School of Education Jack London Secondary Education Award for their Vineyard Academy.
Teachers honored include: Marie Ganister, Bernard Kaufman, Jonathan Weller and Louis Ganzler.
Students in the program compete in the Chefs of Tomorrow competition, create menus for visiting dignitaries, design wedding cakes and tend a community garden. They also take business finance classes, financial literacy and partner with the Windsor Chamber of Commerce on tourism promotion projects.
