The second annual United Way Book Drive kicks off today.
The drive runs through June 21.
Last year the drive pulled in 5,000 books, according to Glen Weaver of the Sonoma County Free Bookmobile. This year the goal is to blow past that total and collect 8,000 books.
The books collected are given to the Sonoma County Free Bookmobile which then delivers the goods to low income and rural communities.
