Jordan Mead, a 13-year employee at Santa Rosa Junior College, has been named the school’s employee of the month for July.

Mead, who began at SRJC in 1999 in a job assisting the help desk and providing support to the Information Technology Department, is now a team leader in the department and works with computer server maintenance, data storage management protection and desktop ticket assignment and coordination.

“Jordan always does what needs to be done,” Scott Conrad, director of information technology for the college said in a statement. “He always makes himself available for after-hours emergency calls, such as when we have power failures and the serves need to be restarted. He cares deeply about SRJC and our employees and is respected and looked up to by all his peers as a leader.”

Mead does his job with a calm professionalism, is organized and is key in keeping projects on schedule, according to his team.

“He quietly advocates for his peers and others, and rarely asks for anything for himself,” Conrad said. “Jordan is truly  an unsung hero at SRJC.”
