The Santa Rosa High School Foundation will host a second annual Author’s Night on Wednesday, Sept. 26.

Santa Rosa alum Frank Romano (class of ’69) will be the featured speaker (last year, the discussion featured authors David Vann, class of ’85, and Scott Gummer, class of ’82).

Romano is the author of “Storm Over Morocco”; “Love and Terror in the Middle East”; “Globalization of Antitrust Policies” and “Crossing Over.”

After Santa Rosa High School, Romano attended Santa Rosa Junior College before moving on to the University of California at Davis. He then attended the University of Paris where he earned a PhD and later got his law degree from Golden Gate University.

He is a professor of American literature and civilization at the University of Paris. He is also a practicing attorney.

The event starts at 7 p.m. in the auditorium on the campus at 1235 Mendocino Ave. Admission is free but donations are accepted.

The Press Democrat’s Chris Smith will host the evening.
