Santa Rosa City Schools will host a community information meeting Nov. 1 on the proposed Spanish language dual-immersion program that officials are pressing to open in the fall.

The district hopes to open the program to 90 kindergarten and first graders next August. Officials expect to have signatures indicating intent to enroll children by December.

The meeting will be from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the DeMeo Room of the Santa Rosa Recreation and Parks facility, 415 Steele Ln.
