The Charles M. Schulz Museum “Peanuts…Naturally” festival program has a new ride.
The hands-on art and science program now rolls up to schools in a custom painted vehicle.
The program has served 3,000 students since last spring. Through the program the museum provides a staff member and all of the exhibits and materials for students to explore and experiment at the school site. The school is asked to supply space, tables and 10-15 volunteers.
Students make recycled paper, solar race cars, a take-home garden, learn about their carbon footprint and other activities.
The museum is located at 2301 Hardies Lane. For more information, contact the museum at 579-4452.
