Analy High School received a $10,000 grant from PG&E this week to build a small house on campus that will rely on renewable power and be completely off the grid, according to PG&E spokeswoman Brittany McKannay.

The awards, part of the company’s Bright Ideas program, are doled out to support green schools and educate students about renewable energy.

Grants range from $1,000 to $10,000.
