Abraham Lincoln Elementary School’s Iris Mejia is Santa Rosa City Schools elementary student of the month for November.
Mejia, a sixth grader at Lincoln, is credited by her teachers and the school staff as being honest, kind, organized, responsible, hard-working and a “wonderful role model.”
Since coming to Lincoln in the fourth grade, Mejia has been a member of the after school program. In that program, she is noted for her work ethic and willingness to help other students. Mejia said she particularly enjoys participating in the healthy habits, kids cooking and SMART Girls programs.
