Is volunteering your time part of your list of New Year’s resolutions?

If yes, there are opportunities galore in area schools.

Schools of Hope, a literacy program run by the Volunteer Center of Sonoma County and the United Way of Wine Country, is looking for 145 new volunteers for the spring semester.

Orientations (are required for all new volunteers) are scheduled for Jan. 11 and Jan. 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Volunteer Center, 153 Stony Point Rd.
