Proctor Terrace Elementary School sixth grader Lily Batchelor is Santa Rosa City Schools elementary school student of the month for January.
Batchelor is described by school officials as kind, patient and friendly to all. She is humble and reflective, thinking of others before herself, they said.
A student with an inquisitive mind, Batchelor is said to consistently look for ways to understand the bigger picture in topics such including world events, scientific processes, character study and mathematical reasoning.
Batchelor is active in extra-curricular activities, including Odyssey of the Mind and Science Olympiad.
