That was quick: Lion Lines are back.

El Molino High School’s January newsletter was in my mailbox today.

Reviving the suspended publication was among the ideas floated at the town hall meeting El Molino officials hosted Dec. 4 to discuss plans to stop the school’s declining enrollment and develop new programs to draw and retain students.

Getting the word out to the wider community about El Molino’s academic, extra-curricular and cultural traditions was central among the themes that night.

The El Molino Foundation wasted no time, bringing the “lines” back with a slew of short stories about happening on the Forestville campus. The first issue of its new life is four pages of full color photos and calendar listings of events in February, March and April, as well as sporting updates from cross country and tennis, tales of community service, a bio of bluegrass band The Mighty Chiplings and an update on the Safe School Ambassadors program.
