El Molino High School is hosting a campus clean up day on Sunday and is inviting students, parents, staff and community members to show up and lend a hand.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday on the campus at 7050 Covey Rd. in Forestville.

Participants are encouraged to bring water bottles and tools. There will also be tools made available there.

Plans, headed up by Harry North, include landscaping and general clean-up. He is also planning to restripe/paint both campus parking lots. The issue of campus beautification, and the condition of the parking lot specifically, emerged as sore points for some parents in a town hall meeting school officials hosted in December.

I do hope the campus at ElMo is better kept that when I was a student there (class of 89)… I recall tha the campus was often knee deep in trash and was really quite embarassing!
