Choirs from schools throughout Sonoma County’s largest school district will perform a group concert at Sonoma State University’s Weill Hall Friday.

The William Barclay Memorial Scholarship Concert will feature more than 200 students from Santa Rosa City Schools high schools in a two-hour performance. Jenny Brent, Sonoma State’s director of choral activities, will serve as guest conductor.

The show begins at 7 p.m.

The event is a fundraiser for all choral programs in the district. A suggested $10 donation will be collected at the door.

The event will also feature a formal presentation of $160,000 to the district’s middle and high school campuses from SchoolsPlus, a nonprofit dedicated to funding arts and athletics across the district. To read more about the increase to this year’s donations, click here http://bit.ly/153xjUs
