The deadline to apply for the PG&E Bright Minds scholarship is Feb. 28.

Awards ranged from $2,500 to $30,000. Last year, PG&E awarded awards to 100 students, according to the company.

The awards are given based on demonstration of community leadership, personal triumph, financial need and academic achievement. Recipients must be full time students for the 2013-14 school year.

High school, community college and “non-traditional” students are available.
