REMINDER: The application deadline for the renewed Doyle Scholarship offered to incoming freshmen at Santa Rosa Junior College next fall is Thursday, March 14.

The renewed Doyle Scholarship is being offered to members of the graduating class of 2013 who will enroll as full-time students at the junior college. Applicants must have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 in high school to qualify.

The 60-year-old scholarship program was suspended in 2008 when Exchange Bank, crippled by the national financial crisis, stopped paying dividends that funded $76 million in scholarships since 1948.

Applications can be hand-delivered to the SRJC Scholarship Office in Plover Hall or be mailed to Scholarship Office, Santa Rosa Junior College, 1501 Mendocino Ave., Santa Rosa, CA 95401. Applications must be postmarked by March 14.

Applications are available at area high schools or online at www.santarosa.edu.
