Hector Acevedo is Santa Rosa City Schools elementary school student of the month for the month of April.
Acevedo, a sixth grader at the Brook Hill Satellite campus, is a natural leader who has earned a perfect 4.0 grade point average in grades four through six.
Acevedo’s teachers say he is a leader who is kind and self-motivated. He always looks out for others and is always conscious of other people’s feelings.
A true friend, Acevedo makes sure to invite students from the Sonoma County Office of Education special day classes in games at recess and P.E.
Nicknamed “Mr. President” by his group leader in outdoor education this fall, Acevedo is lauded a kind, empathetic leader.
