Maya Meislahn is Santa Rosa City Schools elementary school student of the month for April.

Meislahn, a sixth graders at Brook Hill Elementary School, has maintained a perfect 4.0 grade point average and has been a fixture on the princpal’s honor roll for three years.

A Girl Scout, Bobcat Rap school newspaper journalist, student council president and trumpet player, Meislahn is an all-around quality student who teachers regularly turn to for assistance. Her fellow students regularly elect her captain of the kickball squad because she is known to be both polite and fair, according to school officials.

Meislahn is a math wiz who asks for extra pre-algebra problems to work on. She is at ease with technology and is always available to help coach other students, which makes her an amazing asset in any classroom, according to school officials.
