The Sonoma State School of Education will honor a slew of education programs and teachers for outstanding innovation at a ceremony on campus tonight.

The Jack London Award for Educational Innovation will go to the arts integration program at Santa Rosa Charter School for the Arts; Cook Middle School for the science club program and to Northwest Prep Reinvented at Northwest Prep Charter School in the Piner-Olivet School District.

Teachers receiving awards include Cotati-Rohnert Park’s Rae Galeazzi of the mentor teaching program; and Craig Madison, Diane Dalenberg and Margo Slack as outstanding alumnae.

Scholarship awards will be given to Tami Axthelm and Rebecca Lynne Lucas.

The event is tonight from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Cooperage at SSU. The event is free and open to the public.
