The Mark West School District has hired a new principal at San Miguel Elementary School and a new director of curriculum and students services for the 1,400-student district.
Nicole Lamare will take the helm at San Miguel for the 2013-14 school year. Kent Cromwell has moved on to become principal at Laguna High School in Sebastopol, according to Mark West Superintendent Ron Calloway. Lamare had been principal at Lincoln Elementary School in Santa Rosa. Her salary is $94,537.
Rachel Valenzuela will take over as director of curriculum and student services for the retiring Ann Savvidis. Valenzuela had been principal at Monroe Elementary School in Santa Rosa. Her annual salary is $104,960.
