Elizabeth Newman has been named principal at Hidden Valley Elementary School and Hidden Valley Satellite.

Newman, who has worked in Santa Rosa City Schools since 1992, worked as a teacher at Hidden Valley before stints as coordinator in the K-6 curriculum and instruction office and as an instructor in the Beginning Teacher Program, according to the district.

Newman will receive a $97,776 salary plus $1,200 for having a masters degree, as well as a $450 annual car allowance.

Alisa Haley has been hired as assistant principal at Hidden Valley, as well as for Santa Rosa Accelerated Charter School.

Haley comes from Windsor School district where she was a teacher at Windsor Creek Elementary School. Haley has served as teacher in charge, worked in district level committees and participated in professional development, according to district officials.

Haley will receive an annual salary of $81,380, plus $1,200 for having a masters degree.
