Montgomery High School will host three orientation programs in the coming months for potential International Baccalaureate students.

The program is designed for students in grades 8 through 10, as well as their parents.

Montgomery has been an authorized IB diploma school since 1995. Last year, 22 Montgomery seniors earned an IB diploma. Many other students can take individual IB classes in English, history, science, math, Spanish, French, Latin, Mandarin, film, anthropology, visual arts, music, dance and theater.

The IB program offers a pre-college, rigorous curriculum with a global perspective. Students who take IB courses are assessed and recognized by international standards.

The orientation dates are: today from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Nov. 18 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Jan. 27 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. All meetings are in Montgomery’s library.

Information will also be available about student shadowing programs.

Montgomery is located at 1250 Hahman Dr.
