Santa Rosa High School’s Nathan Lauterbach is Santa Rosa City Schools student of the month for December.

Lauterbach, a senior at Santa Rosa, is a member of the Environmental Club, Video Game Club and History Club, on campus. He is also a member of the tennis team.

Teacher Terry Swehla lauded Lauterbach as a student and person.

“Nathan communicates effectively and compassionately,” she told district officials. “He has developed a great sense of humor and enthusiasm for life.”

Teacher Aron Rue said “Nathan has become a model student because he is willing to meet the daily challenges of being a well-rounded person.”

Lauterbach has earned a place on the principal’s academic honor role on multiple occasions.

Lauterbach plans to study physics and astronomy with the goal of becoming an astronomer.
