Musicians at Maria Carrillo High School pulled in $900 at their Jan. 30 concert to benefit music teacher Jon Saler and his wife who lost their home and possessions in a devastating fire late last year.
Saler teaches music at Rincon Valley and Slater middle schools and many of the Carrillo musicians have come through his program, organizers said.
The house, on rural Franz Valley Road, was Jon Saler’s childhood home.
