Caitie Couchot of Santa Rosa Charter School for the Arts is Santa Rosa City Schools’ student of the month for February.

Couchot is described as feisty, fearless and fun by school officials.

Couchot launched an “Environmental Club” on campus and is credited with spearheading a campus cleanup and recycling effort.

For the school talent show, Couchot designed and donned an Abraham Lincoln costume – replete with a beard made with her own hair – and recited the “Gettysburg Address.”

Couchot is a violin player, a member of the BEST leadership team, a reporter for the student newspaper and a participant in “Girls on the Run.”

Teachers describe Couchot as hardworking, innovative, unique, creative and cheerful.
