Saturday BBQ to benefit children’s museum

Need another reason beyond a pound of barbecued meat to attend the annual Wine Country Big Q this weekend? How about that the main beneficiary is the Children’s Museum of Sonoma County. The event, a Kansas City Barbecue, nationally-sanctioned competition, is from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the Sonoma Academy campus, 2500 Kawana Springs Rd. Access is from Kawana Springs Road. Schulz Museum science program hits the road

[imagebrowser id=9] The Charles M. Schulz Museum “Peanuts…Naturally” festival program has a new ride. The hands-on art and science program now rolls up to schools in a custom painted vehicle. The program has served 3,000 students since last spring. Through the program the museum provides a staff member and all of the exhibits and materials for students to explore and experiment at the school site. Museum group hosting kid-friendly Halloween happening

Looking for yet another thing to do to celebrate Halloween with your young ones? How about Funtazmagoria? The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 30 at 1835 W. Steele Lane in Santa Rosa, next to the Charles M. Schulz Museum and the new home of The Children’s Museum of Sonoma County.
