Park Side School celebrates new sign/sculpture

Park Side School in Sebastopol has unveiled a new sign to mark its place in the International Baccalaureate program. The flags of 16 countries are represented and eight girls and eight boys are present in the piece. Parent Megan Sorensen and parent/teacher Sara Gramm are credited with envisioning the design for the sculpture. The sculpture has now been made an emblem emblazoned on school spirit wear. Orientations on Montgomery’s IB program scheduled

Beginning Thursday, Montgomery High School will host three orientation seminars for its International Baccalaureate program. The sessions are designed for parents and students in grades 8-10 and will include an overview of the IB Diploma Program (grades 11-12), an overview of the pre-IB program (grades 9-10), current Montgomery students speaking about the program, an opportunity to meet IB teachers and a question and answer session. Montgomery host IB info night

Montgomery High School will host an open house Thursday to introduce prospective students and parents interested in the International Baccalaureate Program. The IB program is a college prep curriculum with a global focus. World languages include French, Latin, Mandarin and Spanish. Courses include theory of knowledge, social anthropology, film, music, theater and visual arts as well as the core courses of English, math, history and science.
