Marissa Freeman is Santa Rosa City Schools high school student of the month.
Freeman, who expects to graduate a semester early, has been a student at Ridgway for the past three years.
An avid and talented artist, Freeman has been a “driving force” behind many of the art pieces around the Ridgway campus, school officials said.
Art teacher Heather Hagle called Freeman “an original artist.”
Freeman, who is described as a shy but independent minded student, has flourished among Ridgway’s small high school community, officials said.
She is currently taking classes at Santa Rosa Junior College and aims to become an adolescent psychologist.
