Santa Rosa Junior College on Wednesday will host the 9th annual United Nations Association Traveling Film Festival in Newman Auditorium on campus. The festival supports the JC’s United Nations Association/World Affairs Council Scholarship in International Relations.

 

Student Emma Si Nae won the $500 award in 2009.

 

The theme this year is the environment

 

Films include:

 

Wednesday 3:30-5:30 p.m. Flow: For Love of Water. Director Irena Salina.

 

Wednesday 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. “Disappearing Frogs,” Director/producer: Paul Zinder; “One of the Last”; and “Waste=Food.”

 

Tickets are $5 per session or $8 for both. Students are free.

 

The series is sponsored by the JC Social Sciences Department, United Nations of Sonoma County, and the World Affairs Council of Sonoma County.
