Leroy Lam is Santa Rosa City Schools middle school student of the month.
Lam, an eight grader at Cook Middle School is described as an exceptional young man and model student. (As an aside, when I called the campus to confirm that Lam is an eighth grader, the woman who answered the phone said “The fabulous Leroy is in eighth!”)
“He is a serious and dedicated academic with a delightful humor about him,” said Lam’s seventh grade English teacher Ms. Murray.
Ms. Guyon, Lam’s P.E. teacher, said he’s a self starter, leader and a person who is kind to others.
Lam is an Engish language learner who is also part of the school’s gifted and talented program.
