Daisy Li is Santa Rosa City Schools elementary student of the month for January.

Li is a sixth grader at Helen Lehman Elementary where staffers say she exhibits life skills such as integrity, courage and respect.

Her sixth grade teacher, Mr. Motchar, said Li is “an outstanding student with exceptional study skills and a sense of humor. Daisy has such a kind and gentle spirit.”

Li’s current teacher, Mr. Fiege, said “Daisy enters the class every day with a smile on her face. Other students look to Daisy as a student who always does the right thing. In class she is the first student to ready to take notes or to smooth (the) transition to the next subject and earns an A+ for being 100 percent responsible.”

According to Beverly Jones, principal at Lehman, “Daisy is successful as an academic student, is an effect student leader and thrives socially with her peers. Daisy is the type of role model Helen Lehman is proud to claim.”
