While the Santa Rosa School Board is preparing to cut $5.6 million from its approximately $88 million general fund budget at its regular board meeting tonight and Feb. 10, Schools Plus is hoping to take even a bit of that sting away.

The non-profit School Plus, established in 1991 in the face of another round of budget cuts that threatened arts, music and sports programs, on Wednesday distributed $10,000 to all five district comprehensive high schools and $2,500 to the middle schools as well as Ridgway High.
