Casa Grande High School senior Emily Sherman has been invited to participate in the California All State Honor Bands.
Sherman, who plays bass clarinet along with alto sax, will play bass clarinet with the honor bands which are held in conjunction with the California Band Directors Association convention in Fresno Feb. 18-21 and the California Association for Music Education annual conference in Sacramento March 11-13.
Students are selected after auditioning for the program.
At Casa, Sherman plays with the symphonic and varsity jazz bands under the direction of Arlene Burney.
