UPDATE: I just got a call from the folks at Copperfield’s Books. Turns out that the person in the photo at the top is Amanda Brice, a children’s specialist at Copperfield’s. The error is corrected below.

Erin Hunter stopped at Slater Middle School Friday afternoon to speak with fans of the Warrior series, a young adult fantasy series.

Erin Hunter is apparently a pseudonym used by three authors and an editor. Victoria Holmes was Slater’s visitor Friday, speaking as Erin Hunter.

And she was a huge hit.

“It was packed,” Slater principal Jason Lea said. “She signed books, gave a great talk.”

Hunter/Holmes came at the request of Slater librarian Anne Sullivan. About 60 students signed up to hear her speak, Lea said.

Also special to Friday’s visit was the inclusion of Laura Nickell.

Nickell is a VIP who flew out from Vienna, Virginia with the support of the Make A Wish Foundation to see Hunter/Holmes. Nickell was able to hear the author speak and spend time with her Friday.

Hunter/Holmes will give a talk at Copperfield’s Books, 2316 Montgomery Dr. in Santa Rosa at 7 p.m. tonight. The event is free and open to the public.
