Santa Rosa City Schools this week released their annual internal report on college scholarships received by its graduating seniors.

Santa Rosa High’s class of 2010 pulled in by far the most money: $1,717,717 between 142 students. There were 436 students in the graduating class.

Montgomery’s grads pulled in $609,896 between 73 students. Montgomery’s graduating class was 357.

Maria Carrillo got $530,030 for 45 of its 330 seniors.

Elsie Allen followed with $177,463 for 42 students. It’s graduating class was 229.

Piner got $128,605 for 58  of its 235 seniors.

Ridgway got $9,530 for 22 of its 125 graduates.

These totals exclude Cal Grants.

One interesting tidbit, Santa Rosa’s $1.7 million is more than double what was reported last year but only $336,945 more than the class of 2008’s total. But that year, the $1,380,772 was split between 329 students. This year’s haul was divvied up between 142 students.

Both Santa Rosa and Montgomery had big years in 2008 but showed a steep dropoff last year. Elsie Allen on the other hand, had a paltry $179,312 in 2008 and jumped to $453,575 last year.

Piner pulled in $549,000 in 2008 but saw that number plummet to $77,674 last year.

Maria Carrillo has remained relatively even all three years.
