Sonoma State University has put more of its historic photo collection online.

The North Bay Historic Preservation Digital Collection can be found at http://northbaydigital.sonoma.edu/

The first 200 images are part of a larger collection of more than 800 pictures that will eventually be compiled as part of the University Library’s Regional & Special Collections Department’s collection.

Project manager Lynn Prime has been scanning and preserving the mostly black and white photos taken in the mid-1970s through a campus “Program in Historic Preservation” program under the SSU history department, according to the school.

The history department’s project determined more than 300 sites and structures to be considered for historic preservation.
