Helen Lehman sixth grader Maritza Perez is Santa Rosa City Schools Elementary School student of the month for December.
Math is Perez’s best subject. Clearly. She earned a perfect score on her STAR math test.
“Maritza works hard to be her very best every day, whether working alone, in a group, or helping others,” her sixth grade teacher Don Feige told district officials. “She is a student leader and an excellent role model for her peers and the younger children at school.”
“She is a well rounded student and has many interests,” he said. “Although math is her favorite subject, she loves to read, especially mysteries. Maritza has great study skills”
