Curious about who won prizes at the Sonoma County Science Fair Tuesday? The results were distributed today, so they didn’t make the story about the fair. Here they are, courtesy of event coordinator Mike Roa of the Sonoma County Office of Education :

The following students have been invited to go to the California State Science Fair, which will be held in Los Angeles in May:
   Anthony Camillia (Hillcrest Middle School)
   Harlan Falejczyk (Technology High School)
   Fiona Hall-Zazueta (Orchard View School)
   Andrew Strachan, Kyle Lin, Kelly Fitzgerald (Maria Carrillo H.S.)

There was a 3-way tie for the Student Choice Award:
    Blake Jamar (Hillcrest Middle School)
    Nali Seeber (Hillcrest Middle School)
    Peyton Bravelle (Brook Haven Middle School)

American Vacuum Society provides several awards. The awards are $100, $50, or $25 for the student and a matching amount for the school.

Senior category:
   First Place ($100):  Andrew Strachen (Maria Carrillo)
   Second Place ($50):  Lena Eiger (Technology H.S.)
   Third Place ($25):  Charlie Reid  (Technology H.S.)

Junior Category: 
    First Place ($100): Dylan Cavaz  (St. Francis Solano)
    Second Place ($50):  Forrest Horobin (Hillcrest Middle School)
   Third Place ($25):  Chris Gill (Brook Haven Middle School)

Several companies,organizations, and individuals sponsored cash prizes for the students and their schools. The prizes awarded totaled $2,500.
