Kate Feige is Santa Rosa City Schools elementary student of the month for March.

The Proctor Terrace sixth grader is praised for her work ethic, conscientiousness, intelligence and sensitivity.

“Kate participates in her own learning by being focused, asking questions, and explaining well what she knows to others,” Feige’s current teacher Kate Lyon told district officials. “She works diligently to complete all tasks at a high-quality level. She is reliable about completing the tasks for which she takes responsibility. She brings in work early to get assignments proofread with the teacher or to make sure she’s on the right track. She is extremely conscientious about catching up on any assignments if she is out of the class for chorus or student council.”

Feige has received a Lifeskill award from the school for her integrity and problem solving.

She is a great citizen, hard worker and is always dependable, according to school officials.

Feige is interested in sports and attends Chinese dance and language school, plays the violin and sings in the school chorus.
