Proctor Terrace Elementary School students are marking Earth Day with a walkathon and book exchange.
Students will spend April 22 participating in their second annual Earth Day Walk-a-Thon, as well as creating flower pots from newspaper in which students will plant a seed, according to organizers.
Students are collecting books appropriate for kindergarten through sixth grade readers until the 22nd. Books can be dropped off at the campus at 1711 Bryden Lane in Santa Rosa. Extra books will be donated to the Sonoma County Library.
