An addendum to an item I did this week on Piner High’s recent win at the annual Wine Country Chefs of Tomorrow event at the Vintners Inn should have included the prize taken by the culinary students at Maria Carrillo High.

The Carrillo students, under the tutelage of Nectar Restaurant chef Rene Jakushak, took home the coveted “People’s Choice” award for their lineup of appetizers. The 250-guests at the April 7 event chose Carrillo’s eats as tops, while a panel of judges gave top prize to Piner.
