Luther Burbank Elementary School third grade teacher David Heaney said Luis Torres is “probably one of the nicest kid I’ve ever had in my classroom.”
Not bad.
The sixth grader is Santa Rosa City Schools elementary school student of the month for May.
“As a student, Luis is the one you wish you could replicate,” said sixth grade teacher Ross Hause. “Lots of kids help others in their classroom but to help a classmate with the exact same high-level of commitment and enthusiasm as you use for your own work and yourself is impressive. Luis makes our team in Room 20 stronger.”
Torres plans to be the first in his family to attend college and hopes to become a lawyer.
